Your first appointment is an assessment session. A treatment plan will be individualised for you. Future sessions may include questionnaires, homework and strategies or techniques to assist you in achieving your wellbeing goals.
Telehealth sessions (i.e., sessions conducted via phone or over the internet) are available and are charged at the standard consultation rate. Please let us know if you would prefer a Telehealth appointment.
The standard consultation rate (for a 50-60 minute appointment) is $240 (inclusive of processing fee), which is payable at the end of the session by credit or debit card.
No cash or eftpos facilities are provided on site; your credit or debit card details are stored securely on our practice management system and processed electronically for you following each appointment. This takes the hassle out of payments, allowing us to separate the financial and clinical relationship so that we can focus solely on your treatment on the day.
Medicare rebates (currently $131.65) are available with a valid GP Mental Health Care Plan. Please discuss with your GP and email us a copy prior to your appointment. Many private health insurance funds also provide rebates. If you intend to make a private health insurance claim, please check with your insurance fund prior to your appointment.
We require a minimum of 48 hours notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment. Unless there are unusual circumstances, there is a fee of 50% of the cost for the session ($120) for cancellations made with less than 48 hours notice or for missed sessions. This is so that other clients who are awaiting an appointment can be booked in. You can advise us if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment by phone or email.
Letters of support (short documents) and reports (lengthier documents) may be provided at your psychologist’s discretion, and are charged at the standard clinical rate ($240 per hour or part thereof). Unfortunately there are no Medicare rebates for letters/reports. Please note that letters and reports cannot be provided at short notice. Please advise your psychologist as soon as possible that you require or may require written documentation.
As your psychologist is not forensically trained, we cannot provide legal or court reports.
